Searchers (search Engine)
Searchers is an internet search engine launched to the public in February 2005. It is a locally hosted web search engine claiming the largest web index in the United Kingdom. Searchers, named Searchers.com until a branding change in 2008, is owned by Reach Global Ltd. Development on the internet search engine began in 2003 at its headquarters in Church, Lancashire. It was incorporated as Searchers UK Ltd in 2004. Objectives Searchers launched to the public in 2005 with the aim of developing a British alternative to US internet search engines serving the UK. Searchers focuses on returning results relevant to UK users and offers the idea of a "pure" search result which is not influenced by keyword manipulation or paid prominence. Channel 4 is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation. Edward Henry Butler Vaizey, Baron Vaizey of Didcot, (born 5 June 1968) is a British politician, media columnist, political commentator and barrister who was Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries from 2010 to 2016. Graham Peter Jones (born 3 March 1966) is a former British Labour Party politician who was Member of Parliament (MP) for Hyndburn from 2010 until 2019. Early life and education Jones's father's family originate from the Mill Hill area of Blackburn, and his mother's family from Accrington. His grandfather worked at Howard and Bulloughs Cotton Mil. Jones was brought up in Baxenden, attending St John's CofE Primary School, Baxenden, and St Christopher's Church of England High School, Accrington. Hyndburn
Hyndburn is a Non-metropolitan district, local government district with borough status in the United Kingdom, borough status in Lancashire, England. Its council is based in Accrington, the largest town, and the borough also covers the outlying towns of Clayton-le-Moors, Great Harwood, Oswaldtwistle and Rishton. The borough was created in 1974 and takes its name from the River Hyndburn. It had a population of 80,734 at the 2011 United Kingdom census, 2011 Census.
