Sean O'Connor (footballer)
Sean O'Connor (born 7 July 1981) is an English former professional footballer, who played for Queen of the South, Hednesford Town, and Dundee United. After starting his career with local side Hednesford Town, O'Connor moved into the Scottish game with Scottish Premier League side Dundee United. From there he had a couple of loan spells, one with Greenock Morton and the other with Northern Irish side Portadown. Upon leaving the Arabs he had a spell with Queen of the South before heading back to England with Morecambe. Since leaving Morecambe in 2006, O'Connor has spent his time in the Scottish Football League, with Queen of the South again as well as their near neighbours Annan Athletic. Early career O'Connor was born in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. He started his career at non-league club Hednesford Town, working his way through the youth system before making his first team debut during the 1998–99 season. James Thomson (born 15 May 1971) is a Scottish footballer. Nicknamed 'JT', Thomson was a central defender. Thomson's greatest achievements were during his 358 appearances for Queen of the South, where he was club captain. Thomson also enjoyed some success in shorter periods at Clyde and Arbroath and also played for Stenhousemuir. Thomson had a short spell as caretaker manager of Queen of the South during November and December 2016 and is currently player-manager of Kilsyth Rangers in the SJFA West Region Championship. The Doonhamers
Queen of the South Football Club is a Scottish professional football club formed in 1919 in Dumfries. The club plays in Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football. Kris Boyd (born 18 August 1983) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward. Boyd grew up in the South Ayrshire village of Tarbolton and started his senior career with Kilmarnock. Barry Nicholson
Barry Nicholson (born 24 August 1978) is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder. He is currently in charge of Fleetwood Town's development squad and also served as caretaker manager of the first team squad. He started his professional career with Rangers and went on to play over 100 games for each of Dunfermline Athletic, Aberdeen and Preston North End.
