Seal (musician)
Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel (born 19 February 1963) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is the recipient of three Brit Awards, four Grammy Awards and an MTV Video Music Award, with 20 million albums or singles sold by October 2011. He signed with record producer Trevor Horn's ZTT Records to release his Seal (1991 album), eponymous debut studio album (1991). A critical and commercial success, it spawned the singles "Crazy (Seal song), Crazy" and "Killer (Adamski song), Killer", which peaked at numbers two and one on the UK singles chart, respectively, while both entered the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. His 1994 single, "Kiss from a Rose", peaked atop the latter chart after its inclusion on the accompanying film soundtracks for ''The NeverEnding Story III'' and ''Batman Forever''. ''Seal'' (sometimes referred to as ''Seal II'' to avoid confusion with the 1991 album of the same name) is the second eponymous studio album by British singer Seal. The album was released in 1994 on ZTT and Sire Records and features the worldwide smash hit single " Kiss from a Rose". The image on the cover has since become nearly synonymous with Seal, in that it has appeared on several singles covers and was reused for his greatest hits album. "Kiss from a Rose" is a song from British singer-songwriter Seal's second eponymous album (1994). The song was first released as a single in July 1994 by ZTT, Sire and Warner Bros., and included in the film '' The NeverEnding Story III'' that year. The song was re-released a year later in 1995 as part of the ''Batman Forever'' film soundtrack, helping it top the charts in the United States and Australia. ''Seal'' is the debut studio album by British singer Seal, released in 1991. It contains the singles "Crazy", " Future Love Paradise", "The Beginning", " Killer" and "Violet". The album debuted at number one in the UK and went on to win Best British Album at the 1992 Brit Awards. Seal's following album, released in 1994, was also named ''Seal''; it is usually referred to as ''Seal II''. There are two versions of the album, with minor and major differences in three songs. The shorter version of "Wild" is more rock-based and heavy than the original. The shorter version of "Violet" contains no dialogue within the singing. Track lengths of both versions are given for each song affected. Trevor Horn
Trevor Charles Horn (born 15 July 1949) is an English record producer and musician. His influence on pop and electronic music in the 1980s was such that he has been called "the man who invented the eighties". Horn took up the bass guitar at an early age and taught himself to sight-read music. In the 1970s, he worked as a session musician, built his own studio, and wrote and produced singles for various artists. Horn gained fame in 1979 as a member of the Buggles, who achieved a hit single with " Video Killed the Radio Star". He was invited to join the progressive rock band Yes, becoming their lead singer. In 1981, Horn became a full-time producer, working on successful songs and albums for acts including Yes, Dollar, ABC, Malcolm McLaren, Grace Jones and Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
