Scarborough—Rouge River was a provincial electoral district (Canada), electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario between 1999 and 2018. The electoral district (Canada), riding covers the northeast part of the Scarborough, Toronto, Scarborough part of Toronto. It stretches from Highway 401 (Ontario), Highway 401 in the south to Steeles Avenue in the north. In the east it ends at the border with Pickering, Ontario, Pickering and to just west of Midland in the west. Morningside Heights is a residential neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the northeast corner of the city, in the district of Scarborough, just north of the neighbourhood of Malvern and west of Rouge Park and the Rouge. The subdivision, comprising approximately , was one of the last large tracts of undeveloped land within the City of Toronto, located between Finch Avenue East and Steeles Avenue East, from Tapscott Road to the Rouge River. The area is named after Morningside Avenue, which was extended north into the neighbourhood. The northern section of Morningside Heights is also known as Brookside. Alvin Curling (born November 15, 1939) is a Jamaican-born Canadian politician. He was Canada's envoy to the Dominican Republic from 2005 to 2006.
