The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI from its former name in ) is an autonomous agency of the Mexican Government dedicated to coordinate the National System of Statistical and Geographical Information of the country. It was created on January 25, 1983, by presidential decree of Miguel de la Madrid. It is the institution responsible for conducting the Censo General de Población y Vivienda every ten years; as well as the economic census every five years and the agricultural, livestock and forestry census of the country. The job of gathering statistical information of the Institute includes the monthly gross domestic product, consumer trust surveys and proportion of commercial samples; employment and occupation statistics, domestic and couple violence; as well as many other jobs that are the basis of studies and projections to other governmental institutions. Alacranes Musical (English: "Musical Scorpions") are a regional Mexican band that specialize in the duranguense genre. They are from the Chicago, Illinois suburb of Aurora. Recordings The band has released several albums since its formation in November 1999, and in 2007 was nominated for a Latin Grammy for their album, ''Ahora Y Siempre''. Their hits "Si Yo Fuera Tu Amor" and "Por Tu Amor" reached #2 and #4, respectively, on Billboard's Latin Regional Mexican Airplay chart. Their single " Por Amarte Así," a cover of Cristian Castro's song, has topped the Billboard charts at number one for several weeks in a row. Conjunto Atardecer is a regional Mexican band that specializes in the duranguense genre. The group was formed in September 2000 in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango. History Conjunto Atardecer formed in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango, in September 2000. The idea of forming the group stemmed from the concerns of three young students who were beginning to switch on some of the school festivals, which were much in demand, as well as private events. Seeing that many people liked the band, they were asked increasingly to perform at private events. They then decided to invite two more members, thus reinforcing musically. They began to rehearse, but not yet by the name that would identify them in their presentations. It was then that they had the idea of calling themselves "Conjunto Atardecer"; honoring that afternoon when the five came together for the first time.
