Sankt Ignatios Foundation
Sankt Ignatios Foundation is an inter-Orthodox Christian ecumenical and education organisation in Sweden. The foundation represents a collaboration between four Orthodox traditions, the Byzantine (Greek and Slavic), the Syriac, the Coptic and the Tewahedo (Eritrean-Ethiopian). Through Sankt Ignatios College and Sankt Ignatios Folkhögskola, the Foundation provides education and training both for men and women seeking to serve in the Orthodox churches as priests deacons and educators and also a basic upper school level education for people who have recently moved to Sweden who lack the necessary qualifications to find employment. The Folkhögskola emphasises the importance of education for enabling people to play their full part in society. The Foundation also awards the Order of Sankt Ignatios each year to someone who has made a significant contribution to the life or understanding of the Orthodox Church. Ecumenism
Ecumenism (), also spelled oecumenism, is the concept and principle that Christians who belong to different Christian denominations should work together to develop closer relationships among their churches and promote Christian unity. The adjective ''ecumenical'' is thus applied to any initiative that encourages greater cooperation and union among Christian denominations and Christian Church, churches. Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch
Porfirije ( sr-Cyrl, Порфирије, en, Porphyrius; born Prvoslav Perić; born 22 July 1961) is the current and 46th patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church. He was the metropolitan bishop of Zagreb and Ljubljana, from 2014 to 2021. Before that, he was titular bishop of Jegra between 1999 and 2014. He is also a university professor and author of theological works. Susan Ashbrook Harvey (born 1953) is the Royce Family Professor of Teaching Excellence and the Willard Prescott and Annie McClelland Smith Professor of History and Religion at Brown University. She specializes in late antique and Byzantine Christianity, with Syriac studies as her particular focus. Andrew Louth (; born 11 November 1944) is an English theologian. He is an emeritus professor of patristic and Byzantine studies in the Department of Theology and Religion of Durham University. Louth has been at Durham University since 1996. Previously he taught at the University of Oxford (mostly patristics) and at Goldsmiths' College in Byzantine and early medieval history. Sebastian Paul Brock, FBA (born 1938, London) is a British scholar, university professor, and expert in the field of academic studies of Classical Syriac language and Classical Syriac literature. His research also encompasses various aspects of cultural history of Syriac Christianity. Anba Suriel (born 9 May 1963) is a bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Los Angeles, United States. He previously led the Diocese of Melbourne and affiliated regions in Australia from 1999 to 2018, and first served as a bishop in New Jersey, United States, in the Archdiocese of North America.
