Sambil Paraguaná Ciudad Turistica is a shopping mall and an urban development in Paraguaná. It contains a hotel, a movie theatre, and a supermarket. Centro Sambil Caracas, located in Caracas, Venezuela, is the sixth largest shopping mall in South America. It was completed in 1998 and has over 500 stores in approximately 3 million square-feet (250,000 square metres). The mall has five ''levels'': Autopista, Libertador, Acuario, Feria, and Diversión. There are other Sambil malls located in Valencia, Margarita, Maracaibo, San Cristóbal, Barquisimeto, Paraguaná, Santo Domingo, Curaçao and Madrid. The mall is owned by Constructora Sambil, run and owned by the Salomon Cohen Levy family. Alfredo Cohen is the director. A second mall in Caracas is located in La Candelaria parish under the name "Centro Sambil La Candelaria". In December 2008, just months before the building was inaugurated, the Venezuelan government, under President Hugo Chávez, expropriated the building without compensation. Falcón State (, ) is one of the 23 States of Venezuela, states of Venezuela. The state capital is Coro, Venezuela, Coro. The state was named after Juan Crisóstomo Falcón. Punto Fijo
Punto Fijo is the capital city of the municipality of Carirubana in northern Falcón State, Venezuela. It is located on the southwestern coast of the Paraguaná Peninsula. Its metropolitan area includes the parishes of Norte, Carirubana, Punta Cardón and the parish of Judibana in the municipality of Los Taques. Punto Fijo is the largest city in Falcón State. Paraguaná Peninsula
Paraguaná () is a peninsula and tied island in Venezuela, situated in the north of Falcón State, and comprises the municipalities of Carirubana, Los Taques and Falcón. The island of Aruba lies to the north. Bonaire and Curaçao are slightly further away. Paraguaná lies in the Caribbean Sea, and is connected to the rest of the state by the natural isthmus or tombolo of Médanos. Because it is almost completely surrounded by water, the peninsula is sometimes called Cora Island, and considered a part of the Leeward Antilles. It was in fact a separate island earlier in the Holocene, before the development of the tombolo that connected it to the mainland sometime in the last 12,000 years, and possibly as recently as 3,000 years ago.
