Miss Earth Venezuela 2009 (Spanish: ''Miss'' ''Sambil Model Venezuela 2009'') was the fifth Miss Earth Venezuela pageant. It was held at the Centro Sambil Margarita in Pampatar, Margarita Island, Venezuela on 12 June 2009. At the end of the event, Daniela Torrealba of Caracas crowned Jessica Barboza of Maracaibo as Miss Earth Venezuela 2009. She represented Venezuela at the Miss Earth 2009 Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 22, 2009 at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. Jessica Cristina Barboza Schmidt (born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on 14 August 1987) is a Venezuelan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the titles of Miss Earth Venezuela 2009 and Miss International Venezuela 2010. Miss United Continents (formerly known as Miss Continente Americano and often known as Miss Continentes Unidos) is a beauty pageant that has been held regularly since 2006. The current Miss United Continents is Joanna Camelle Mercado of Philippines who was crowned on August 7, 2022 in Portoviejo, Ecuador. Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 22, 2009 at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. Karla Henry of Philippines crowned her successor Larissa Ramos of Brazil at the end of the event. The pageant had 80 delegates from various countries and territories that vied for the Miss Earth crown. The pageant's Top 16 competed in both swimsuit and evening gown competitions to determine the Top 8, the first time since Miss Earth 2003, 2003. The Miss Earth 2009 theme was "Green Lifestyle", in which the candidates were involved with environmental causes.
