''Suicide Room'' () is a 2011 Polish drama thriller film written and directed by Jan Komasa, and starring Jakub Gierszał as a popular high school student whose life quickly deteriorates into ostracisation and depression. The film premiered on 12 February 2011 at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival and received a wide release on 4 March 2011. Jan Tadeusz Komasa (born 1981) is a Polish film director, screenwriter, and producer best known for directing '' Suicide Room'' (2011), '' Warsaw 44'' (2014), and ''Corpus Christi'' (2019), which was nominated for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. Stereo Total was a Berlin-based multilingual, French-German musical ensemble, duo which comprised Françoise Cactus (born Françoise van Hove and formerly co-leader of the West Berlin band Les Lolitas) and Brezel ('pretzel') Göring (a.k.a. The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage () is a festival that celebrates and awards cinematography and cinematographers. The festival is held in Toruń, Poland, at the end of November every year. It spans the course of one week, with multiple events at one time. The first seven events (1993–1999) were held in Toruń, and the next ten events (2000–2009) were held in Łódź. From 2010 until 2018, the festival took place in Bydgoszcz, before returning to Toruń in 2019, where it currently remains. New Horizons Film Festival ( pl: Nowe Horyzonty) is an international film festival held annually in July in Wrocław, Poland. It has been organised since 2001. It is one of the biggest and most popular film festivals in Poland. Since 2008 it is accredited by FIAPF with an "avant-garde" specialised competitive status. The event is organized by Stowarzyszenie Nowe Horyzonty (New Horizons Association). The founder and moving spirit of the festival is Roman Gutek. The Eagles Polish Film Awards, or The Eagles () is the national film award of Poland. It has been delivered annually since 1999, with the first event held on 21 June, by the National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA). Since 2003 they have been awarded by the Polish Film Academy. The award ceremony is held under the auspices of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. Their status in the Polish film industry can be compared with Academy Awards. The award depicts outstretched eagle's wings attached to a white socle twined by a ribbon which is reminiscent of a film stock. It was designed by Polish sculptor Adam Fedorowicz.
