Saint Mary's Gaels
The Saint Mary's Gaels are the athletic teams that compete at Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, California. The nickname applies to the college's intercollegiate NCAA Division I teams and to the school's club sports teams. Most varsity teams compete in the West Coast Conference. Saint Mary's College of California is a Private college, private Catholic college in Moraga, California, United States. Established in 1863, it is administered by the De La Salle Brothers. The college offers undergraduate and graduate programs with a total student count at under 4,000 . History St. Mary's College began in 1863 as a Diocese, diocesan college for boys established by Joseph Alemany, a member of the Dominican Order, Dominicans and the first archbishop of San Francisco. Gonzaga Bulldogs Men's Basketball
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are an intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Gonzaga University. The school competes in the West Coast Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Matthew William Dellavedova (born 8 September 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL). Randy Bennett
Randall William Bennett (born June 9, 1962) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Saint Mary's College of California. He has led the team nine NCAA tournament appearances, regular season conference championships in 2011, 2012, 2016, 2023, 2024, and 2025 as well as WCC tournament championships in 2010, 2012, 2019, and 2024. Omar Hassan Samhan (born November 3, 1988) is an American-Egyptian professional former basketball player. He played college basketball for Saint Mary's College of California where he was an honorable mention All-American in 2010. In 2011, Samhan joined the Egypt national basketball team.
