Saint Louis Billikens Men's Soccer
The Saint Louis Billikens men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity team, varsity sports team of Saint Louis University. The Saint Louis Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA Division I, Division I. Soccer is the main fall sport at SLU, which has not sponsored American football, football since 1949. Despite the long soccer tradition in the city of St. Louis, the University did not field a varsity team until 1959, when the ''Billikens'' won the first NCAA soccer championship held. With Bob Guelker as coach, the team achieved a 11–1 record that season. They defeated the University of Bridgeport 5–2 in the championship game. Kevin Kalish
Kevin Kalish is an American soccer coach and former player who, as of 2018, was serving as head coach of the Saint Louis Billikens men's soccer, Saint Louis Billikens men's soccer team. He played professionally in the NPSL II, National Professional Soccer League. Youth In 1995, Kalish graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School. During his four-year prep soccer career, Kalish was three-time All State as Aquinas-Mercy won the 1992 and 1993 State Championships. His senior season, he was the MVP of the Midwest Championship and a Parade Magazine High School All American. Pat McBride
Patrick McBride (November 13, 1943 – December 11, 2024) was an American soccer midfielder and indoor soccer coach. He earned five cap (sports), caps with the United States men's national soccer team, U.S. national team and is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Dipsy Selolwane
Diphetogo "Dipsy" Selolwane (born 27 January 1978) is a Motswana former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He has also played as a striker in Major League Soccer. Club career Selolwane first played for Gaborone United in the Botswana Premier League. Houston Dynamo
Houston Dynamo Football Club is an American professional soccer club based in Houston. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Established on December 15, 2005, the club was founded after their former owners relocated the San Jose Earthquakes' players and staff to Houston following the 2005 season. Brad Davis (soccer)
Bradley Joseph Davis (born November 8, 1981) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. Career Youth and College Davis attended high school at Chaminade College Preparatory School in Missouri. When he was 16, he had the chance to move to The Netherlands and join the PSV Eindhoven academy, but Davis opted to stay at home. He joined Saint Louis University (SLU) in 2000, where he played for two seasons before leaving college soccer for the professional ranks. Matthew John McKeon (born September 24, 1974) is an American retired soccer midfielder who played seven seasons in Major League Soccer. He earned two caps with the United States men's national soccer team and was a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic soccer team. Youth McKeon was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Shane Battelle (born October 5, 1971) is a retired American soccer player who played with the Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer. College After capping off his senior year at Hazelwood Central High School with a state championship, Missouri Player of the Year honors, and being named a Parade Magazine All-American, Battalle spent one season (1990) playing soccer at Southern Methodist University. Michael Steven Sorber (born May 14, 1971) is an American soccer coach and former player. He most recently served as an assistant head coach for Toronto FC in Major League Soccer.
