The Saint-Véran Lake is a fresh body of water in the head area of the Moncouche River (via the Moncouche Lake (Lac-Saint-Jean-Est), Moncouche Lake), in the unorganized territory of Lac-Moncouche, Quebec, Lac-Moncouche, in the Lac-Saint-Jean-Est Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, in the provinces and territories of Canada, province of Quebec, in Canada. Lac Saint-Véran is located in the western part of the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve. It is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (The Most Beautiful Villages of France) Association. Geography Saint-Véran, located in the French Alps, is the most elevated commune in France and in Western Europe.
