''Safe'' (titled onscreen as ''Harlan Coben's Safe'') is a British drama (film and television), drama Thriller film, thriller television miniseries created by crime author Harlan Coben and written primarily by screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst. Set in England, the series is a production by Canal+ (French TV channel), Canal+, with Canal 8 (TV channel), C8 airing the show in France, and Netflix streaming the show internationally outside France. The series began filming in Manchester, Liverpool, and Cheshire in July 2017. It consists of eight episodes that premiered in 190 countries on 10 May 2018. Freddie Thorp
Frederick Nicholas Thorp (born 7 March 1994) is a British actor. He starred in the action film '' Overdrive'' (2017), as well as the Netflix series ''Safe'' (2018) and '' Fate: The Winx Saga'' (2021–2022). Early life Thorp was born in Kensington and Chelsea, London, to Nick Thorp and Antonia Manley. He has an older sister, Ophelia. Ben Onono (sometime stylised as Ben OnOnO) is a musician and songwriter. He is of British and Nigerian heritage. Nicola Shindler (born 8 October 1968) is a British television producer and executive, and founder of the independent television drama production company Quay Street Productions, having founded and run Red Production Company from 1998 to 2020. She has won eleven BAFTA TV Awards. Early life and education Shindler was born in Rochdale, England, the daughter of school teacher Gay Shindler (née Kenton) and solicitor Geoffrey Shindler.
