Sacco And Vanzetti
Nicola Sacco (; April 22, 1891 – August 23, 1927) and Bartolomeo Vanzetti (; June 11, 1888 – August 23, 1927) were Italian immigrants and anarchists who were controversially convicted of murdering Alessandro Berardelli and Frederick Parmenter, a guard and a paymaster, during the April 15, 1920, armed robbery of the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. Seven years later, they were executed in the electric chair at Charlestown State Prison. After a few hours' deliberation on July 14, 1921, the jury convicted Sacco and Vanzetti of first-degree murder and they were sentenced to death by the trial judge. Anti-Italianism, anti-immigrant, and anti-anarchist bias were suspected as having heavily influenced the verdict. A series of appeals followed, funded largely by the private Sacco and Vanzetti Defense Committee. A suit jacket, also called a lounge jacket, dress jacket, lounge coat or suit coat, is a jacket in classic menswear that is part of a suit. History The jacket was originally a work jacket that came into fashion due to the French Revolution. It was popular among sailors, and in the 19th century it became a common item of clothing for sports and recreation. The 1870s saw the birth of the suit, which at first was met with great skepticism and viewed primarily as leisure wear. Joe Sacco (ice Hockey)
Joseph William Sacco (born February 4, 1969) is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). His younger brother David Sacco also played in the NHL. Playing career As a youth, Sacco played in the 1982 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Boston Braves minor ice hockey team. He played ice hockey for Medford High School in Massachusetts. Drafted in the 1987 NHL entry draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Sacco played for Boston University before joining the Maple Leafs. Sacco also played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, New York Islanders, Washington Capitals, and Philadelphia Flyers. In 738 NHL games, he recorded 94 goals and 119 assists. Raffaele Sacco (August 14, 1787 – January 20, 1872) was an Italian optician and lyricist. Patrick Peter Sacco (October 23, 1928, Albion, New York – August 12, 2000, Ashland, Oregon) was an American composer and singer. Sacco, under the tutelage of family members, was a traveling musician as a child, playing piano and performing as a soprano vocalist. He studied at Eastman Preparatory School during World War II, then received a bachelor's degree at SUNY-Fredonia in 1950. He then entered the military and studied while in Frankfurt under Wolfgang Niederste-Schee; he also performed on piano and organ and played clarinet as a member of the 4th Infantry Division band. After completing his military service, he returned to Eastman, where he earned both master's and doctoral degrees, studying under Wayne Barlow, Howard Hanson, and Bernard Rogers. Nicholas Sacco
Nicholas J. Sacco (born November 17, 1946) is an American Democratic Party politician who served in the New Jersey State Senate from 1994 to 2024, where he represented the 32nd Legislative District. Sacco served as the chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee and was also a member of the Law and Public Safety and Veterans' Affairs Committee. He has served as mayor of North Bergen since 1991, and was allowed to hold two offices under a grandfather clause in a bill that took effect in February 2008 that prohibits dual office holding. Michael Sacco (February 14, 1937 – December 28, 2023) was an American labor leader from Brooklyn, New York. He was appointed as the president of the Seafarers International Union of North America, AFL-CIO in June 1988 by the ''SIUNA Executive Board''. Joshua Kurt Sacco (born 22 August 1978) is a Zimbabwean politician and former musician who was elected to the National Assembly of Zimbabwe in the 2018 general election.
