SLAM! (radio Station)
SLAM! (Sound Lifestyle And More, stylized as ►SLAM! and previously SLAM!FM) is a Dutch commercial national radio station that plays current-based rhythmic and dance hits. SLAM! has a strong commitment in breaking new dance music. The playlist and presentation serves as a combination of 538 and 3FM. The station is broadcasting in the Netherlands and can be received via FM in the Randstad, Internet (worldwide) and cable. The broadcasting building and studios of SLAM! are located in Naarden, North Holland. In 2012, it was announced that SLAM! has the largest market share among the country's young people (16.8%). It is a sister station of 100% NL, Radio Veronica and Sublime. In 2016, SLAM! was reported to have a 0% market share for the 65-or-more age group. Radio Veronica (Talpa Radio)
Radio Veronica is a Dutch commercial radio station owned by Mediahuis since June 2023, before that it was a subsidiary of Talpa Network. The station runs a mixed playlist of pop and rock music from the 1970s until the 2000s, additional with current hits. The station can be compared with Absolute Radio and Radio X (United Kingdom) in the United Kingdom. Radio Veronica in its present form was created on 31 August 2003 by a merger of the cable station Radio Veronica of the Vereniging Veronica and the Oldies, golden oldie station Radio 103 of Sky Radio Ltd. In return, received the Vereniging Veronica 3.5% of the shares of the Sky Radio Ltd. in hands. In 2006, this interest was expanded to 10%, after the Telegraaf Media Groep NV and ING acquired the Sky Radio Group and those in Sienna Holding BV - operating under the name Sky Radio Group accommodated. Naarden
Naarden () is a List of cities in the Netherlands by province, city and former List of municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality in the Gooi region in the Provinces of the Netherlands, province of North Holland, Netherlands. It has been part of the new municipality of Gooise Meren since 2016. History Naarden was granted its City rights in the Netherlands, city rights in 1300 (the only town in the Gooi with these rights) and later developed into a fortified garrison town with a textile industry. In 1572, the city was sacked and burnt down, and only 60 people survived the Massacre of Naarden. The massacre was committed by Spanish soldiers against the townspeople of Naarden as part of a punitive expedition against Dutch rebels later known as the Spanish Fury.
