SIIMA Award For Best Actress – Telugu
The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA Awards) rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry. It was launched in 2012 by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad Adusimilli to appreciate and honour film makers from across the South Indian film industries: Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, Kannada cinema, and Malayalam cinema, and provide a platform to promote South Indian films in international markets. South Indian Cinema
Cinema of South India, refers to the cinema of the four major film industries in South India; primarily engaged in making feature films in the four major Dravidian languages of the region, namely Telugu cinema, Telugu, Tamil Cinema, Tamil, Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and Kannada cinema, Kannada. 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards
The 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards were presented on 12–13 September 2013 in Sharjah, UAE, to honour the best cinematic achievements of the South Indian film industry in the year 2012. Initially planned for 20–21 June, the date was postponed due to "100 years of Indian cinema" jubilee festivities. The ceremony was hosted by Arya, Shriya Saran, Rana Daggubati and Sonu Sood at the Expo Centre Sharjah, while the "Generation Next Awards Night" was hosted a day before by Parvathy Omanakuttan and Ash Chandler. Differing from the 1st SIIMA Awards, technical Awards were presented on the first day as well. The 1st South Indian International Movie Awards were presented on 22 June 22, 2012, in Dubai, UAE, to honour the best cinematic achievements of the South Indian film industry in 2011. Producing films in four Dravidian languages of South India, professionals were handed over a total of 71 Awards. The ceremony was hosted by R. Madhavan and Lakshmi Manchu at the Dubai World Trade Centre, while the "Generation Next Awards Night" was hosted by Parvathy Omanakuttan and held a day before at Park Hyatt on 21 June 2023 Nominated by a jury, the final winners were decided by a public voting system.
