The World's 50 Best Restaurants is a list produced by the UK media company William Reed Ltd, William Reed, which originally appeared in the British magazine ''Restaurant (magazine), Restaurant'' in 2002. The list and awards are no longer directly related to ''Restaurant'', though they are owned by the same media company. In addition to the main 1–50 ranking, the organisation awards a series of special prizes for individuals and restaurants, including the One To Watch Award, the Icon Award, the Best Female Chef Award and the Chefs' Choice Award, the latter based on votes from the fifty head chefs from the restaurants on the previous year's list. In specific regions the organisation also pre-announces a 51–100 list, showcasing more venues in the area. William Reed Ltd
William Reed is a digital, high value data, and events business serving the food and drinks sector. By 2021, it had offices in five locations – Crawley, London, Montpellier, Singapore and Chicago. Early history In 1862, William Reed (publisher), William Reed founded his own publishing company, ''William Reed Publishing'' in London. With the contacts he had made working in the grocer industry and the knowledge he had gained, he launched his first journal, ''The Grocer'', from his premises based in Bow Lane, London. Asador Etxebarri is a Spanish restaurant in Atxondo, Spain. It was voted 3rd best of the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants as well as 3rd best in the world in Restaurant (magazine) Top 50 Awards in 2019 and 2021, 4th in 2023, and 6th in 2015. The owner and chef is Victor Arguinzoniz, who cooks everything over a grill.
