Robert Arthur (film Producer)
Robert Arthur (November 1, 1909 – October 28, 1986) was an American screenwriter and producer best known for his long association with Universal Studios. Early life and career Born in New York as Robert Arthur Feder, he attended Southwestern University and the University of Southern California before going to work in the oil industry in 1929. He began working as a screenwriter and joined MGM in 1937, where he wrote the screenplay for ''New Moon'' (1940) and the story for ''Chip Off the Old Block'' (1944). During World War II, he served under Pare Lorentz in the Army's Air Transport Command and produced 600 short training films. Universal After the war, he joined Universal Pictures and his first production was the successful ''Buck Privates Come Home'' (1947) starring Abbott and Costello. Stanley Shapiro
Stanley Shapiro (July 16, 1925 – July 21, 1990) was an American screenwriter and producer responsible for three of Doris Day's most successful films. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Shapiro earned his first screen credit for ''South Sea Woman'' in 1953. His work for Day earned him Oscar nominations for '' Lover Come Back'' and ''That Touch of Mink'' and a win for ''Pillow Talk'', and ''Mink'' won him the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Written American Comedy, which he shared with his partner Nate Monaster.
