Erasmus Of Formia
Erasmus of Formia, also known as Saint Elmo (died c. 303), was a Christian saint and martyr. He is venerated as the patron saint of sailors and abdominal pain. Erasmus or Elmo is also one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, saintly figures of Christian tradition who are venerated especially as intercessors. Documentation of his life The ''Acts of Saint Elmo'' were partly compiled from legends that confuse him with a Syrian bishop Erasmus of Antioch. Rasmus Fleischer (born 19 April 1978 in Halmstad) is a Swedish historian, essayist and musician. He earned his Ph.D. in history in 2012 with a dissertation that was also published as a book of 640 pages: "The political economy of music: Legislation, sound media and the defence of live music, 1925–2000". Rasmus Flo (29 September 1851- 30 November 1905) was a Norwegian teacher, philologist, magazine editor, and translator. He was a noted proponent of the use of the Nynorsk language. Biography Rasmus Flo was born in Stryn near the northern border of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. He was a farmer's son from the small village of Flo, in the traditional district of Nordfjord. At the age of 20, he ventured from his home to go to Stord in Hordaland. He worked as a substitute teacher while studying for the "atrium examen," an entrance exam for studying liberal arts at university in Norway. He took the test in 1873 and earned a degree in philology from the University of Oslo in 1881. From 1878 to 1885 he was a teacher at the town of Kongsvinger. Later he was an intern at the graduate school in Tromsø before spending two more years teaching in the Valdres municipal schools. Rasmus Harboe (25 October 1868 in Skælskør - 4 June 1952 in Frederiksberg) was a Danish sculptor. He was a frequent collaborator with several of the leading Danish architects of his time, including Martin Nyrop. Early life and educatiobn Harboe was born in Skælskør the son of ship-owner and industrialist Rasmus Jens Brændekilde Hilfgott Harbie (1828–96) and Olivia Sabine Rasmussen (1837–95).
