''Hellsinki'' () is a 2009 Finland, Finnish film directed by Aleksi Mäkelä (director), Aleksi Mäkelä. The film is based on the novel ''Rööperi – rikoksen vuodet 1955–2005'' by Harri Nykänen and Tom Sjöberg. ''Hellsinki'' follows the journey of two criminals, Tomppa and Krisu, in Punavuori (in slang ''Rööperi''), a neighbourhood in Helsinki, from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s. Punavuori
Punavuori (; ) is a neighbourhood in the center of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The name Punavuori () refers to red cliffs located between Sepänkatu and Punavuorenkatu. They were still visible in the 19th century, nowadays they are covered with buildings and pavement. Punavuori was traditionally a working-class neighbourhood, today it is known as a bohemian district popular among artists, students and hipsters. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Finland. After the new location and growth of Helsinki in the 18th century, Punavuori became the area next to the center. During the 19th century the district had a seedy reputation. Most of the brothels and beerhouses were found in Punavuori. The social problems were aggravated by quickly built rent-apartments for the poor. After World War II, the district went through a process of gentrification. Samuli Edelmann
Samuli Casimir Edelmann (born 21 July 1968) is a Finnish actor and singer. Family and career Edelmann was born in Pori, Finland, the son of actress Marja-Leena Kouki and composer Toni Edelmann. He has two children with his ex-wife, Laura Tuomarila. In the spring of 2006, he and his family moved to Malta, and in late 2015, he and his family moved back to Finland. In 2018, Edelmann divorced.
