Ryan Christopher Johnson (born August 5, 2002) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Dallas Baptist Patriots baseball, Dallas Baptist Patriots. The Angels selected Johnson with the 74th pick, a compensatory pick, in the 2024 Major League Baseball draft, 2024 MLB draft. Johnson made his MLB debut in 2025, skipping the Minor League Baseball, minor leagues. Early life Ryan Christopher Johnson was born on August 5, 2002, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Jeff and Amy Johnson. Jeff pitched at Dallas Baptist from 1986 to 1990. Johnson was homeschooling in the United States, homeschooled and played baseball for Christian Athletes Storm as part of the Home School Texas Alliance, where he was a four-year letterman. Ryan Johnson (born 26 November 1984) is a Jamaican former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Youth and college Johnson was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to the Boston area with his family while he was still an infant. He played high school soccer and basketball at Melrose High School in Massachusetts, where he was a Middlesex League and Eastern Mass League soccer all-star. He attended Oregon State University on a sports scholarship and played college soccer there from 2002 to 2005, where he scored 18 goals and assisted on 30 while appearing in 76 matches. He also spent two seasons in the USL Premier Development League, playing for Cape Cod Crusaders and Boulder Rapids Reserve. Professional Johnson was drafted in the third round, 26th overall, by Real Salt Lake in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft. Ryan Anthony Johnson (born 2 October 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club AFC Wimbledon. He has also represented Northern Ireland at under-21 level. Johnson began his career in the youth academy at West Bromwich Albion before joining Stevenage of League One in 2013. He made his first-team debut in May 2014 and became the club's youngest player in the English Football League. Johnson had two loan spells in non-League at Boreham Wood, as well as spending time on loan at St Albans City, Nuneaton Town and Kidderminster Harriers. He signed for Kidderminster permanently in January 2019 and spent a year-and-a-half playing regularly in the National League North. Ryan M. Johnson (born June 14, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey Centre (ice hockey), centre. He currently works as assistant general manager for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL) and as the general manager for their American Hockey League (AHL) development team, the Abbotsford Canucks.
