Russell Crowe's Jockstrap
Russell Crowe's jockstrap is a leather jockstrap that was part of a costume worn by actor Russell Crowe in the 2005 film ''Cinderella Man''. In 2018, the jockstrap was auctioned off and was bought by comedian John Oliver, who in turn donated it to Alaska's last operating Blockbuster Video store. However, after the closure of the Blockbuster, the location of the jockstrap remains unknown. Original use and subsequent ownership In ''Cinderella Man'', New Zealand actor Russell Crowe played American boxer James J. Braddock, who was the world heavyweight champion from 1935 to 1937. In the film, Crowe wears the jockstrap in the scene in which Braddock wins the championship. After the film was produced, Crowe took possession of various props from the film, including the jockstrap, and incorporated them into his collection of memorabilia. ''Last Week Tonight with John Oliver'' (often abridged as ''Last Week Tonight'') is an American news satire late-night talk show hosted by comedian John Oliver. The half-hour-long show premiered in the end of April 2014 on HBO and currently has new episodes released simultaneously on the network and Max (streaming service), HBO Max. Chlamydia, or more specifically a chlamydia infection, is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium ''Chlamydia trachomatis''. Most people who are infected have no symptoms.
