Rubén Sánchez (journalist)
Rubén Sánchez is the main talk news personality at Univisión Radio (WKAQ-AM) in San Juan, Puerto Rico as well as has served as anchorman for several TV daily news interview programs. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 3, 1963, Sánchez is a graduate of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. For years, he was deputy director of the news department at the WUNO, Notiuno radio network in Puerto Rico, rising to the post of news director. Subsequently hired by Univisión, he currently anchors the radio network's morning drive time newscast from 6 to 8 am, has conducted a two-hour highly rated daily news interview program and co-anchored a political analysis program with the late political analyst Juan Manuel García Passalacqua. Rubén Sánchez León (born August 21, 1973) is a Mexican retired professional boxer. He is the former WBO flyweight champion. Professional career Rubén turned professional in 1992 and compiled a record of 22–7–1 before upsetting Argentina's Carlos Gabriel Salazar with an eighth round stoppage victory to win the WBO flyweight title. He defended it once against Italian contender Salvatore Fanni before losing the title against Jose Antonio Lopez Bueno via stoppage loss. He would move up to super flyweight and face WBO champion Fernando Montiel in a non title fight, he would lose via second round stoppage. Rubén Sánchez García (born 21 January 1989) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a winger. Club career Born in Albacete, Castile-La Mancha, Sánchez finished his youth career with local Albacete Balompié, and made his senior debuts with Villarreal CF's C-team in 2007–08, in Tercera División. During the season he also appeared with the reserves in Segunda División B and, on 2 February 2009, was loaned to CD Guadalajara also in the third level. In the 2009 summer, Sánchez left the Valencians and signed with neighbouring Valencia CF Mestalla. Rubén Sánchez Pérez-Cejuela (born 25 November 1994) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Uzbekistan Super League club AGMK as a forward. Club career Born in Sonseca, Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Sánchez graduated from CD Toledo's youth setup, after stints at AD Diana and CD Sonseca. After appearing with the former's reserve team, he made his first team debut on 25 August 2013 by coming on as a substitute for Rufino in a 1–3 Segunda División B away loss against UB Conquense. Sánchez scored his first and only goal for Toledo on 1 September 2013, netting a last-minute equalizer in a 1–1 home draw against SD Huesca. Rubén Sánchez Sáez (born 4 February 2001) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for RCD Espanyol. Mainly a right-back, he can also play as a right winger. Club career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Sánchez joined the youth academy of RCD Espanyol in 2018, from CF Badalona. He made his senior debut with the reserves on 16 February 2020, coming on as a half-time substitute in a 0–0 Segunda División B home draw against Valencia CF Mestalla.
