Ruby Gloom
''Ruby Gloom'' is a Canadian animated television series based on the Mighty Fine apparel line of the same name, created by illustrator Martin Hsu. It was produced by Nelvana and aired on YTV in Canada. The series aired from October 15, 2006, to June 1, 2008. 40 episodes were produced. Ruby Gloom's character designs have since then inspired a line of garments on Etsy since mid-2008. A pencil case or pencil box is a container used to store pencils. A pencil case can also contain a variety of other stationery such as sharpeners, pens, glue sticks, erasers, scissors, and rulers. Pencil cases can be made from a variety of materials such as wood or metal. 2×2 () is a Russian television channel. Founded in 1989, it was the first commercial TV station in the Soviet Union. The channel was shut down from 1996 to 2004, at which point it was started up again. Since then, the channel has predominantly broadcast foreign animated TV series, including children's television series, anime, and adult animation shows (similar to the American channel Adult Swim). The channel has 4-hour versions for broadcasting in other regions of Russia. Pop Girl was a free-to-air children's television channel in the United Kingdom, owned by CSC Media Group (formerly Chart Show Channels), a company associated with the makers of '' The Chart Show'', a television programme that had previously been on Channel 4 and ITV. It broadcast cartoons, live action and pop music videos on Sky and Freesat. Its target audience was 7 to 12-year-old girls. Pop Girl originally broadcast from 6 am until 9 pm in order to share bandwidth with the now-defunct AnimeCentral, a general entertainment channel also owned and operated by CSC Media Group, which broadcast from 9 pm until 6am. Carolyn Bennett is a Canadian comedian and writer. Career Born and raised in Montreal, Bennett was part of the anglophone comedy scene in the 1980s at The Comedy Nest on Bishop Street, operated by Ernie Butler. Bennett's associates and close friends included comediaSean Keaneand the comedy sketch group The Vestibules. Bennett moved to Toronto in 1986 and performed at Yuk Yuk's while writing for the television show YTV Rocks. The Gemini Awards were awards given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television between 1986–2011 to recognize the achievements of Canada's English-language television industry. The Gemini Awards are analogous to the Emmy Awards given in the United States and the BAFTA Television Awards in the United Kingdom.
