Rubén Castro
Rubén Castro Martín (; born 27 June 1981) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played mainly as a striker. He represented mainly Las Palmas and Betis during his career, appearing in 282 matches in La Liga and 435 in Segunda División (scoring an all-time best 195 goals in the latter competition). He also competed in China. Club career Las Palmas and Deportivo Born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Castro was signed by Deportivo de La Coruña from local UD Las Palmas in 2004, in a deal which also saw Momo moving in the opposite direction. The deal was agreed in order to wipe out the debt that Las Palmas still had after signing Gabriel Schürrer from Deportivo for €3.6 million. Real Betis Balompié, known as Real Betis () is a Spanish professional association football, football club based in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. In Spanish Association football, football, the Pichichi Trophy () is awarded by the sports newspaper ''Marca (newspaper), Marca'' to the top goalscorer of each La Liga season. Named after the Athletic Bilbao striker Pichichi (footballer), Rafael "Pichichi" Moreno, the trophy has been awarded annually since the 1952–53 La Liga, 1952–53 season. All top scorers who preceded the award's creation were retroactively named Pichichi winners by ''Marca''. Since the 2014–15 season, the top scorer of the women's Liga F is also awarded the Pichichi Trophy. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The 2001–02 La Liga season was the 71st since its establishment. It began on 25 August 2001, and concluded on 11 May 2002. Teams Twenty teams competed in the league – the top seventeen teams from the previous season and the three teams promoted from the Segunda División. The promoted teams were Sevilla, Betis and Tenerife. Both Sevilla and Betis returned to the top flight after a year absence while Tenerife returned to the top fight after a two-year absence. Gabriel Francisco Schürrer Peralta (born in Rafaela16 August 1971) is an Argentine professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player. Jerónimo Figueroa Cabrera (born 15 July 1982), known as Momo, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a winger.
