Rowing At The 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's Quadruple Sculls
These are the results of the men's quadruple sculls competition in rowing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. It was one of eight events in men's rowing that was held. Heats Fourteen boats raced in three heats on August 14. Duncan Free
Duncan Seth Free (born 25 May 1973) is a retired Australian rower and Olympic gold medallist. He is 4-time Olympian and two-time world champion who represented Australia at four world rowing championships in both sculls and sweep oared boats. He was a six-time Australian national sculling champion. Rowing family Free was born in Hobart, Tasmania. His father Reg Free rowed in numerous King's Cup crews for Tasmania from 1962 and in 1967, became the first Tasmanian oarsman selected to row in the Australian men's eight when they competed by invitation at the 1967 European Rowing Championships in Vichy, France. David Crawshay
David William Crawshay (born 11 August 1979) is an Australian former rower, an eleven-time national champion, an Olympic champion and medalist at World Championships. He represented Australia in rowing at three consecutive Olympic games from Athens 2004 to London 2012. Club and state rowing Born in Carlton, Victoria, Crawshay attended Melbourne Grammar School. His senior rowing has been with the Mercantile Rowing Club based on the Yarra River in Melbourne. Scott Michael Brennan (born 9 January 1983) is an Australian Olympic gold medal-winning and national champion rower from Hobart, Tasmania. He has represented for Australia in rowing at three consecutive Olympic games. Andrei Jämsä (born 14 February 1982) is an Estonian rower. Due to a back injury he could not compete in 2007. He is a member of rowing club ''Pärnu Sõudeklubi'' (Pärnu Rowing Club) located in Pärnu. Junior years Jämsä was born in Pärnu. He competed in the U-23 world Regatta in the double sculls event in 2002 with Igor Kuzmin, earning 7th position and in 2003 with Oleg Vinogradov earning 4th position. Igor Kuzmin (born 23 November 1982) is an Estonian rower. He is a member of rowing club ''SK Narva Energia'' located in Narva. Junior years Kuzmin was born in Narva. In 2000 Kuzmin competed in the World Rowing Junior Championships in the single sculls event, finishing in 12th position.
