The women's single sculls competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held on 6–13 August at the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Lagoon Rodrigo de Freitas. Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon (Portuguese: ''Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas'') is a lagoon in the district of Lagoa, Rio de Janeiro, Lagoa in the Zona Sul (South Zone) area of Rio de Janeiro.
