Ronja, The Robber's Daughter (2014 TV Series)
is a Japanese anime based on the Swedish children's book of the same name. It is about Ronja, the only child of a bandit chief, who grows up among a clan of robbers living in a castle in the woodlands of early-Medieval Scandinavia. When Ronja grows old enough she ventures into the forest, exploring and discovering its wonders and dangers like the mystical creatures that dwell there. She learns to live in the forest through her own strength, with the occasional rescue by her parents. Ronja's life begins to change, however, when she happens upon a boy her own age named Birk, who turns out to be the son of the rival clan chief. Rintarou Nishi
is the pseudonym of , a well-known director of anime. He works frequently with the animation studio Madhouse (which he co-founded), though he is a freelance director not employed directly by any one studio. He began working in the animation industry—at age 17—as an in-between animator on the 1958 film '' Hakujaden''. His works have won and been nominated for multiple awards, including a nomination for Best Film (''Metropolis'') at the 2001 Festival de Cine de Sitges. Rintaro is a fan of science fiction, and has been influenced by American westerns, gangster films, film noir, and French films. Additionally, he was influenced by Osamu Tezuka, and worked with him on ''Kimba the White Lion'' and ''Astro Boy''. Takahiro Shimada
is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Shimada was born in Osaka Prefecture on February 9, 1965. After graduating from Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences, he joined Matsushita Electric (later ''Gamba Osaka'') in 1987. He became a regular player as center back from first season. Rasmus Hardiker (born 31 January 1985) is a British actor. He is best known for voicing Scott and Alan Tracy in the reboot animated television series '' Thunderbirds Are Go''. Adrian Charles Edmondson (born 24 January 1957) is an English actor, comedian, musician, writer and television presenter.
