Roger Palmer (MP, Born 1577)
Sir Roger Palmer KB (1577–1657) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1614 and 1644. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Palmer was the second son of Sir Thomas Palmer, 1st Baronet of Wingham, Kent and the elder brother of James Palmer, MP. He was Cup bearer to Henry and Charles, Princes of Wales. In 1614, 1624 and 1625 he was elected Member of Parliament for Queenborough. He was knighted KB at the coronation of Charles I in February 1626 and was Master of the Household to King Charles from 1626 to 1632. He was re-elected MP for Queenborough in 1626 and 1628 and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years. John Hales (died 1639)
Sir John Hales (1603–1639) was an English courtier and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1628 to 1629. Hales was the son of Charles Hales of Newland of Coventry, Warwickshire. He was a student of Gray's Inn in 1600 and matriculated at University College, Oxford, on 13 February 1601, aged 16. He was knighted on 17 July 1617 and was a gentleman pensioner to King James. In 1628, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for Queenborough and sat until 1629, when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years. Hales died at the age of about 36. Peter Brooke (17th-century MP)
Sir Peter Brooke (c. 1602 – 1685) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1646 and 1656. Brooke was the younger son of Thomas Brooke of Norton by Eleanor Gerard, his third wife. In 1646, he was elected Member of Parliament for Newton in the Long Parliament. In 1656 he was elected MP for Cheshire in the Second Protectorate Parliament. Brooke, then of Mere Hall, Cheshire which he bought in 1652, was knighted on 24 July 1660. He was High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1669. He married three times:firstly, Alice, the daughter and heiress of Richard Hulse of Kenilworth, Warwickshire with whom he had two sons; secondly Frances, the daughter of Nicholas Trot of Quickshot, Hertfordshire and the widow of William Merbury of Merbury; and thirdly Mabell, the daughter of William Farrington of Werden and the widow of Richard Clayton of Crooke.
