Robert L. Williams, often styled Robt. Williams (born March 2, 1943), is an American painter, cartoonist, and founder of '' Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine''. Williams was one of the group of artists who produced ''Zap Comix'', along with other underground cartoonists, such as Robert Crumb, Rick Griffin, S. Clay Wilson, and Gilbert Shelton. His mix of California car culture, cinematic apocalypticism, and film noir helped to create a new genre of psychedelic imagery. Early life and education Robert L. Williams II was born on March 2, 1943, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Robert Wandell Williams and Betty Jane Spink. At a very early age he displayed an interest in drawing and in watercolor painting. Robert Henry Williams (2 June 1870 – 17 March 1938) was an Australian politician. He was born in Fitzroy, Victoria, Fitzroy to American-born grain trade, grain merchant Robert Williams and Fanny Kendall. He attended state school and worked for his father before following the gold rush to Western Australia in the 1890s. Having been unsuccessful, he returned to Victoria (Australia), Victoria and became a caterer and hotelier. Robbie Williams (politician)
Robbie Williams (12 June 1962 – 20 December 2007) was the first Indigenous Australian councillor to sit on the Brisbane City Council. He had held the role only since October 2007, but had been tipped to win a seat in the council elections in March 2008. Williams had previously served three terms as a regional councillor with ATSIC and was later the ATSIC commissioner for Brisbane and southeast Queensland. He was widely known for his community work, and was the founder and chair of First Contact Aboriginal Corporation for Youth, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of indigenous youth, in 1992. Williams was the son of Hazel, an Aboriginal woman with connections to the Yugambeh language group, and his father was Bob Williams, a butcher. Robert Arthur Williams (January 20, 1933 – July 7, 2024) was a Canadian consultant and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Vancouver East in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1966 to 1976 and from 1984 to 1991 as a New Democratic Party (NDP) member. Life and career Williams was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was educated at the University of British Columbia, graduating from the School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP). Robert Williams (1765–1827) was a rear-admiral in the Royal Navy. Life Robert Williams, born in 1765, entered the navy in January 1777 on board the '' Ardent'', then commanded by Lord Mulgrave.
