Rob Bowman (filmmaker)
Rob Stanton Bowman (; born May 15, 1960) is an American director. He grew up around film and television production, and developed an interest in the field because of the work of his father, director Chuck Bowman. Bowman is a prolific director for television, and has contributed to series such as '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', and ''The X-Files'', for which he received four consecutive Emmy nominations as a producer. He was an executive producer and director for the comedy drama ''Castle''. Bowman has directed four feature films: '' Airborne'', ''The X-Files'', '' Reign of Fire'', and '' Elektra''. Richard Keith Berman (born December 25, 1945) is an American television producer and screenwriter. ''Probe'' is an American science fiction television series, created by veteran television writer Michael Wagner and science fiction author Isaac Asimov. It aired on ABC. Michael Wagner wrote the two-hour pilot, and became Executive Producer for the series. The pilot and series starred Parker Stevenson as Austin James, an asocial genius who solved high tech crimes, and Ashley Crow as James' new secretary Mickey Castle. The show began as a mid-season replacement and was canceled after a two-month run of the pilot and six episodes. "Where No One Has Gone Before" is the sixth episode of the American science-fiction television series ''Star Trek: The Next Generation'', which originally aired October 26, 1987, in broadcast syndication in the United States. A high-definition, remastered version of the episode received a limited theatrical release for one day (along with the episode "Datalore") to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series on July 23, 2012. The story was originally developed with the title "Where None Have Gone Before" and was based on Diane Duane's book, ''The Wounded Sky''. Duane and Michael Reaves pitched the idea to David Gerrold and Gene Roddenberry, and then submitted a script.
