Rian O'Neill
Rian O'Neill (born 1998) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Crossmaglen club and at senior level for the Armagh county team. He plays as a forward. He has shared the Armagh captaincy role with Aidan Nugent. O'Neill was man of the match against Kerry in the 2024 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Semi-Final, when his team made it through to a first final for 21 years. He was nominated for an All Star in 2022, but he didn't win. He won an All Star at the end of the 2024 season. His brother Oisín plays alongside him for Armagh and Crossmaglen. Crossmaglen Rangers Gaelic Athletic Club () is a GAA club in Crossmaglen, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. They cater for Gaelic football and camogie. Their home football ground is St. Oliver Plunkett Park, which was opened in 1959. The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) () is the premier inter-county competition in Gaelic football. County (Gaelic games), County teams compete against each other and the winner is declared All-Ireland Champions. Organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), the championship has been contested every year except one since 1887 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, 1887. The 2003 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 116th final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC), a Gaelic football tournament. It was held on 28 September 2003 at Croke Park, Dublin, and featured defending champions Armagh against Tyrone. With both finalists located in the northern province of Ulster, this was the first All-Ireland SFC final to be contested by sides from the same province. The Armagh county football team ( ) represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of football.
