Rhode Island's Congressional Districts
Rhode Island is divided into two congressional districts, each represented by a member of the United States House of Representatives. No Republican has won a House seat in the state since 1990. It is the least populous state in the nation to have more than one congressional district. He served as the 31st General Treasurer of Rhode Island from 2015 until 2023. Rhode Island's 3rd Congressional District
Rhode Island's 3rd congressional district is an obsolete district. It had a short tenure (1913–1933). In its final configuration, it covered Providence and most of its inner ring suburbs. It was eliminated after the 1930 census and split between the 1st and 2nd districts. The 3rd's last representative, Francis Condon subsequently won re-election in the 1st district. Cranston, once known as Pawtuxet, is a city in Providence County, Rhode Island, Providence County, Rhode Island. The official population of the city in the 2020 United States Census was 82,934, making it the second largest in the state. The center of population of Rhode Island is located in Cranston. Cranston is a part of the Providence metropolitan area. Cranston was named one of the "100 Best Places to Live" in the United States by ''Money (magazine), Money'' magazine in 2006. Rhode Island (, like ''road'') is a state in the New England region of the Northeastern United States.
