Reuben D'Silva (born 1985) is an American politician serving as a member of the Nevada Assembly from the 28th district. Political career United States House of Representatives Elections =2016= D'Silva ran as an Independent against Democratic incumbent Dina Titus and finished 3rd with 7.3% of the vote. =2018= He ran against Titus again in 2018, this time as Democrat, however he was comfortably defeated in the primary 79% to 21%. Edgar Flores (politician)
Edgar R. Flores (born 1986) is an American politician and attorney who serves as a member of the Nevada Senate, representing the Nevada's 2nd Senate district, 2nd district. He previously served in the Nevada Assembly, representing the 28th district, which covers parts of the eastern Las Vegas Valley. Early life and education Flores was born to immigrants from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico who were given legal status under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. He was the second of three children. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2008 and from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2012. Career After graduating from law school, Flores became an Immigration law, immigration attorney. Flores ran for the Assembly in 2014 to succeed Lucy Flores (no relation). Nevada Senate
The Nevada Senate is the upper house of the Nevada Legislature, the state legislature of U.S. state of Nevada, the lower house being the Nevada Assembly. It currently (2012–2021) consists of 21 members from single-member districts. In the previous redistricting (2002–2011) there were 19 districts, two of which were multimember. Since 2012, there have been 21 districts, each formed by combining two neighboring state assembly districts. Each State Senator represented approximately 128,598 as of the 2010 United States Census. Article Four of the Constitution of Nevada sets that State Senators serve staggered four-year terms. In addition, the size of the Senate is set to be no less than one-third and no greater than one-half of the size of the Assembly.
