Our Party (, PN), previously known as the Republican People's Party (, PPR), is a Left-wing populism, left-wing populist political party in Moldova. Founded in 1999 as the Peasants' Christian Democratic Party of Moldova (''Partidul Țărănesc Creștin Democrat din Moldova''), it promotes advocacy for Russians in Moldova, social conservatism, and soft Euroscepticism. Its party chairman is Renato Usatîi, while other key figures include Dumitru Ciubașenco (the party's candidate at 2016 Moldovan presidential election) and Ilian Cașu (the party deputy chairman and 2015 candidate for the function of mayor of Chișinău). Renato Usatîi
Renato Usatîi (born 4 November 1978) is a Moldovan politician and businessman serving as President of Our Party (Moldova), Our Party since 8 February 2015. He was elected mayor of Bălți for two terms (from 2015 to 2018 and from 2019 to 2021). Usatîi's political positions have been described as Populism, populist and anti-establishment. He participated in the 2014 Moldovan parliamentary election as a candidate on the electoral list of the political party "Patria". The party was excluded from the race three days before the election, a decision declared arbitrary by the European Court of Human Rights. Usatîi intended to participate in the 2016 Moldovan presidential election but was unable to after a decision of the Constitutional Court of Moldova changed the minimum age required for someone to serve as president from 35 to 40. 2020 Moldovan Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Moldova on 1 November. The fourth direct elections since independence in 1991, voters had the possibility to either elect a new president or re-elect the incumbent Igor Dodon. Because no candidate received a majority of votes in the first round, a run-off between the top two candidates, Maia Sandu and Dodon, was held on 15 November. Maia Sandu won the second round with 58% of the vote, becoming the first female President of the country and the first winner from the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS). Igor Dodon
Igor Dodon (; born 18 February 1975) is a Moldovan politician who served as the 5th president of Moldova from 2016 to 2020. He currently serves as the leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova since 2024. He served as Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, Minister of Economy and Trade in the governments of Vasile Tarlev and Zinaida Greceanîi from September 2006 to September 2009 and was a member of the Parliament of Moldova from 2009 to 2016. Nicolae Andronic (born 13 May 1959) is a Moldovan jurist and lawyer. He served as member of Parliament of Moldova between 1990 and 1998 and as Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Moldova in 1994.
