Refugee (Bad4Good Album)
''Refugee'' is the only album by teenaged rock band Bad4Good, released in August 1992 by Interscope Records. The album was produced by Steve Vai. The band toured briefly with Damn Yankees before disbanding in 1993. Reception Two months after its release in August, the album hit the '' Billboard'' Heatseekers chart, at #39. It was later deemed to be a "flop" by Interscope. Bad4Good
Bad4Good was a heavy metal band formed in 1991 by guitarist Steve Vai. The band was a quartet of teenagers, the oldest of whom was 16. The group consisted of guitarist Thomas McRocklin, bassist Zack Young, drummer Brooks Wackerman, and singer Danny Cooksey. Under Vai's guidance, the band released one album in 1992 called ''Refugee''. The only single released was "Nineteen" and it failed to chart but the music video was featured on MTV for some time. They also went on to tour briefly with Damn Yankees. After the band disbanded, Wackerman went on to play drums for Bad Religion, and now for Avenged Sevenfold, Young plays drums for the band AI, and Cooksey has had a successful career as a voice-over artist and also returned to his roots to play in Los Angeles country and western bands. Steven Siro Vai ( ; born June 6, 1960) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. A three-time Grammy Award winner and fifteen-time nominee, Vai started his music career in 1978 at the age of eighteen as a Transcription (music), transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, and played in Zappa's band from 1980 to 1983. Damn Yankees were an American rock band formed in New York City, in 1989. Consisting of singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw of Styx, singer/bassist Jack Blades of Night Ranger, guitarist Ted Nugent of the Amboy Dukes, and drummer Michael Cartellone (who would later join Lynyrd Skynyrd). They are remembered for the songs " High Enough" and "Where You Goin' Now", both Top 40 hits in the early 1990s. Phil Lynott
Philip Parris Lynott (, ; 20 August 1949 – 4 January 1986) was an Irish musician, songwriter, and poet. He was the co-founder, lead vocalist, bassist, and primary songwriter for the hard rock band Thin Lizzy. Laurence Archer (born 9 November 1961) is a British guitarist and songwriter notable for his work with British rock bands UFO and Phil Lynott's Grand Slam. He wrote many of Grand Slam's songs together with Phil Lynott and Mark Stanway, some of which were released as Thin Lizzy songs. Thomas McLaughlin (born 20 September 1979), better known by his stage name McRocklin, is an English guitar player, music producer and mastering engineer. He was the guitarist featured in Steve Vai's music video "The Audience is Listening" (1990). He then became the lead guitarist in Bad4Good, a band produced by Vai in 1991.
