Redcap (TV Series)
''Redcap'' is a British television series produced by ABC Weekend TV and broadcast on the ITV network. It starred John Thaw as Sergeant John Mann, a member of the Special Investigation Branch of the Royal Military Police and ran for two series and 26 episodes between 1964 and 1966. Other actors appearing in the series included Kenneth Colley, Keith Barron, Windsor Davies, David Battley, Allan Cuthbertson and Barry Letts. John Thaw
John Edward Thaw (3 January 1942 – 21 February 2002) was an English actor in television, stage and cinema, best known for his television roles starring as Detective Inspector Jack Regan in '' The Sweeney'' (1975—78) and as Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse in ''Inspector Morse'' (1987—2000). For four consecutive years Thaw was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor for playing Morse, winning in 1990 and 1993. In 1988, he was also nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film '' Cry Freedom'' and in 2001 was awarded the BAFTA Fellowship. The Adjutant General's Corps is a corps in the British Army responsible for many of its general administrative services, named for the Adjutant-General to the Forces (now the Commander Home Command). Troy Kennedy Martin (15 February 1932 – 15 September 2009) was a Scottish-born film and television screenwriter. He created the long-running BBC TV police series ''Z-Cars'' (1962–1978), and the award-winning 1985 anti-nuclear drama '' Edge of Darkness''. Richard Harris (born 26 March 1934) is a British screenwriter and playwright, most active from the early 1960s to the mid-1990s. He wrote primarily for the crime and detective genres, having contributed episodes of series such as '' The Avengers'', '' The Saint'', '' The Sweeney'', ''Armchair Mystery Theatre'', and '' Target''. Robert Holles
Robert Holles (1926–1999), was a British author and TV and film screenwriter, often writing on military life but not limited to this alone. Biography Holles was the son of a sergeant major, and enlisted in the British Army as a boy soldier at 14 during World War II. He served in Korea as an armourer sergeant (information taken from the book by Robert Holles 'Captain Cat') with the 1st battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment, and saw action during the Battle of Imjin in 1951, one of "The Glorious Glosters" greatest battle honours.
