Redbank Railway Station, Brisbane
Redbank railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Ipswich suburb of Redbank. Redbank station is beside the large Redbank Railway Workshops, where most of Aurizon's diesel locomotives are repaired and maintained, and where all wagons are made and repaired. The workshops also repair and overhaul City network electric multiple units. Near the station are coal train wagon storage roads used for the Jondaryan, Macalister and Columboola coal mines, west of Toowoomba. In May 2012, three stabling sidings were opened to the west of the station. Services Redbank is served by trains operating to and from Ipswich and Rosewood. Caboolture railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the urban centre of Caboolture in the Moreton Bay Region. History Caboolture station opened in June 1889 as part of the extension of the North Coast Line from Petrie, which opened in March 1888. As part of the electrification of the line from Petrie, the existing station building was replaced and a new island platform built. The new station opened on 16 November 1985, while the electrification opened on 28 June 1986. The Kilcoy line branched off to the north-west. It opened in December 1909, closing in September 1996. It is one of two railway stations serving the Brisbane suburb of Clayfield, the other being Clayfield railway station. North of the station, the Pinkenba and Airport lines branch off. Petrie railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Petrie in the Moreton Bay Region. It opened as North Pine railway station in1888 after the nearby North Pine River and was renamed Petrie railway station (after local pioneer Thomas Petrie) in 1911. The station has five platforms. Darra Railway Station
Darra railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Darra. History A stop at "nine miles forty four chain" from Central was established when the line between Ipswich and Brisbane was built in 1874. Service on the line were operating in 1875. No stops at the site were recorded in 1876 or 1877, probably because the stop was not staffed until the following year when passengers were first recorded at Darra station. The name Darra is most probably derived from a Scottish railway town as some of the engineers who were responsible for naming stops were Scottish. A siding at Darra was constructed in 1885 to enable the loading of firewood for Hicks & Gray. In 1954, four platforms were built at the station but only three were used. On 17 November 1979, the Darra to Ipswich line was electrified.
