''Red'' is the fourth studio album by British pop-rock group T'Pau, which was released by Gnatfish in 1998. As the first T'Pau album since 1991's '' The Promise'', ''Red'' features singer Carol Decker as the only member from the original line-up. Background In the years after T'Pau's split in 1992, Decker continued to occasionally perform as a solo artist. In 1997, after finding new management, she formed a new line-up of T'Pau in order to begin touring again. As the only original member, Decker originally considered touring under her own name, but was advised that using the T'Pau name would generate more recognition. That year, the band undertook a 25-date UK tour and also released a new version of the band's 1986 hit " Heart and Soul" as "Heart and Soul '97". T'Pau (band)
T'Pau are an English pop group formed in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, led by singer Carol Decker. They had a string of Top 40 hits in the UK during the late 1980s and early 1990s, most notably " China in Your Hand", " Heart and Soul" and "Valentine", and several hits in the rest of Europe, before disbanding in 1992. Decker still performs under the name T'Pau at solo shows and 1980s nostalgia concerts, and in 2013 she reunited with original band member and co-songwriter Ronnie Rogers for a 25th-anniversary UK tour. "With a Little Luck" is a song by British band T'Pau, released as the lead single from their 1998 fourth studio album '' Red''. It was written by vocalist Carol Decker, ex-T'Pau rhythm guitarist Ron Rogers and J. David. It was produced by Decker, Rafe McKenna and Marco Sabiu. Background The single was released as the follow-up non-album 1997 single " Heart & Soul '97", which had peaked at #186 in the UK. It was a reworking of the group's 1987 debut single. "With a Little Luck" was the first T'Pau single of original material since 1991's "Only a Heartbeat" from '' The Promise'' album. "With a Little Luck" is a single by the band Wings from their 1978 album '' London Town''. Writing, recording and release "With a Little Luck" was written in Scotland and was Wings' follow-up single to the then best-selling UK Single of all time, "Mull of Kintyre." It was recorded in May 1977 in the Virgin Islands aboard the boat ''Fair Carol'', which had been fitted with a 24-track studio, for the album '' London Town''. The album, which had the working title ''Water Wings'' was released in March 1978 as the band's seventh album. During these recordings, Wings' lead guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Joe English had recorded tracks but had left, returning the band to the three-piece line-up which had recorded ''Band on the Run'' in 1973. Big Country are a Scottish rock band formed in Dunfermline, Fife, in 1981. The height of the band's popularity was in the early to mid 1980s, although it has retained a cult following for many years since. Status Quo are a British rock band that formed in 1962. The group originated in London as The Scorpions and was founded by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster while they were still schoolboys.
