Real Estelí Baloncesto
Real Estelí Baloncesto is a Nicaraguan basketball team based in Managua. Founded in 2018, it is the basketball section of the Real Estelí FC football club, which was founded in 1959. The team entered the Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB) for its debut season in 2018 season. Real Estelí's home arena is the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex, which was opened in 2017 and has a capacity of 8,057 people. History The first game of the team in the LSB was played on 9 February 2018 against Leones de Managua. In 2019, head coach David Rosario took over the team. Liga Superior De Baloncesto (Nicaragua)
The Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB), also known as the LSB Nicaragua, is the highest level of professional basketball in Nicaragua. The league was established in 2018 and started its inaugural season in February 2018 with six teams. The champions of the LSB qualify directly for the regular season of the Basketball Champions League Americas, the Americas' premier continental competition. Cangrejeros De Santurce (basketball)
Cangrejeros de Santurce is the name of several franchises sanctioned by the professional basketball league Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) of Puerto Rico. Named after Santurce, all versions have played out of San Juan. The first franchise was founded in 1918 and began active play in the BSN in 1956, winning titles in 1962 and 1968 before folding. The second iteration of the Cangrejeros played their home games at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum under the ownership of music industry executive Angelo Medina, winning five championships in a six-year span (including four consecutive) and another in 2007. This version remained active for another decade after winning its last championship. In 2021, a new franchise was approved under the name of Cangrejeros under the ownership of artist Bad Bunny and urban music entrepreneurs Noah Assad and Jonathan García. Renaldo Balkman
Renaldo Miguel Balkman (born July 14, 1984) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for Vaqueros de Bayamón of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball for the University of South Carolina before being selected with the 20th overall pick of the 2006 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. After spending six seasons with the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association (NBA), since the 2012–13 season, he has been playing internationally. He has represented the Puerto Rican national team. Delroy James (born June 4, 1987) is a Guyanese-born, naturalized American professional basketball player. At a height of tall, and a weight of , he can play at the power forward and small forward positions, with power forward being his main position. High school career James only started playing basketball whilst in his sophomore high school year, he left Brooklyn that same year, moving to National Christian Academy (Fort Washington, Maryland). Asociación Atlética Quimsa, usually called simply Quimsa, is an Argentine sports club located in the city of Santiago del Estero in the homonymous province. São Paulo FC is the basketball section of the São Paulo FC club, based in São Paulo, Brazil. The men's first team plays professionally in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Home games are played at the Multisport Gym Doctor Antônio Leme Nunes Galvão, which has a capacity for 1,900 people. The club was inactive for a long time but it resumed operations in November 2018, starting competing in the second-tier LOB for the 2018–19 season. After a second-place finish promotion to the top-level NBB was secured. In 2022, São Paulo made its debut in the BCL Americas, the top tier panamerican competition and won its first-ever continental title after defeating Club Biguá in the Final. 2021 BCL Americas Final
The 2021 BCL Americas Final was the final game of the 2021 BCL Americas, the 2nd season of the league under its new entity and the 14th of the pan-American premier basketball league organised by FIBA. It was played at the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex in Managua on 14 April 2021. The game was played between Nicaraguan club Real Estelí and Brazilian club Flamengo. Flamengo won the final and captured its second pan-American championship, thus also qualifying for the 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. 2021 BCL Americas
The 2021 Basketball Champions League Americas season was the 14th edition of the top-tier level professional club basketball competition in the Americas and the second of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) since launched by FIBA in 2019. It was also the 22nd season of Pan-American top-level competition, as well as the 59th season of South American top-level competition. The season began on 31 January 2021 and ended on 13 April 2021. The season ended with a Final Eight tournament that was hosted in Managua, Nicaragua. The defending champions Quimsa were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba basketball section is part of the Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba, homonymous sports club based in Córdoba, Argentina.
