Raúl Fernández-Cavada Mateos (born 13 March 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for La Liga club Alavés. Club career Born in Bilbao, Biscay, Fernández joined Athletic Bilbao's prolific youth system, Lezama, at the age of 10. He made his senior debut with the reserve side in the Segunda División B, then went on to spend two seasons on loan in the same tier, first with UB Conquense then Granada CF; with the latter club, he was the most utilised player in his position in a return to Segunda División after an absence of more than two decades. Fernández was definitely promoted to Athletic's first team for 2010–11, following the retirement of veteran Armando. Gorka Iraizoz Moreno (born 6 March 1981) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper, currently manager of Gernika Club. He spent most of his professional career with Athletic Bilbao, appearing in 392 official games. In La Liga he also represented Espanyol and Girona, winning the 2006 Copa del Rey with the first club. Armando Ribeiro de Aguiar Malda (born 16 January 1971), known simply as Armando, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. The 2009–10 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 29 August 2009, and the season ended on 19 June 2010.
