Raï'n'B
Raï'n'B is a musical genre that appeared in the 2000s in France, which mixes elements of Algerian raï and French contemporary R&B. It is also distinguished by beats inspired by house music and dance. History In 2004, two compilations each mixing raï and contemporary R&B were published: Raï'n'B Fever by Kore & Skalp and Des 2 mots by DJ Kim and DJ Goldfingers. French singer Amine considers himself the godfather of the genre. He became known in 2005 through his song "Ma vie", which was ranked 15th in France. Kore & Skalp
Kore (producer), Kore & Skalp are two DJs and producers who have worked together since 1997. Among others, they have made mixtapes, concerts and Scratch performances. And they have produced music for many underground groups, e.g. Eloquence, Costello and la Scred Connexion. Since 2001, Kore & Skalp have been at Sony Music France. They separated in 2006 after 5 years together. Career Kore (real name Djamel Fezari) & Skalp (real name Pascal Boniani Koeu) have mixed tracks by a great number of French artists. They produced the album ''La Vie Avant la Mort'' (Life Before Death) by French rapper Rohff, and they have taken part in producing songs for albums by Booba, Don Choa, Willy Denzey, Leslie (singer), Leslie and all of the comedy DVDs by Jamel Debbouze. Amine (singer)
Amine Mounder, best known by his mononym Amine is a French-Moroccan R&B singer. He is known for his singular music style, Raï'n'B, which is a mix of R&B and Raï. His biggest hits are " Ma vie", " J'voulais" and a duet with French singer Leslie in " Sobri (notre destin)". "Sobri" and "J'voulais" both reached the number-one spot on the French singles chart in 2006. Amine also charted in Belgium and Switzerland. He also took part in a number of festivals, notably ''L'année de l'Algérie'' at Bercy in December 2003, and in ''Le Maroc en fête'' at the Paris Zénith. Amine had a comeback in 2015 with hits like "Señorita" and "Tu verras". Leslie (singer)
Leslie Bourgouin, better known by her mononym Leslie, is a French pop- R&B singer. Her father is Vietnamese and Polynesian while her mother is French. She is married to French music producer Djamel Ferazi, known as Kore, with whom she has a son. In 2007, she recorded a duet single with the R&B singer Bobby Valentino, "Accorde-moi" featured on her third studio album, " L'amour en vol". The same year, she covered several 1980s songs on her album ''Futur 80'', including " Boule de flipper" originally sung by Corynne Charby, "Mise au point" by Jakie Quartz and " Les Bêtises" by Sabine Paturel. Raï (, ; , , ), sometimes written rai, is a form of Algerian folk music that dates back to the 1920s. Singers of Raï are called () or (), i.e. 'young', as opposed to (, 'shaykh'), i.e. 'old', the name given to Chaabi singers. The tradition arose in the city of Oran, primarily among the poor. Traditionally sung by men, by the end of the 20th century, female singers became common. House is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by a repetitive Four on the floor (music), four-on-the-floor beat and a typical tempo of 115–130 beats per minute.
