Ravi Kumar Dhingra
Rear admiral (India), Rear Admiral Ravi Kumar Dhingra, Vishisht Seva Medal, VSM (born 25 July 1970) is a serving Flag officer in the Indian Navy. He currently serves as the Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area. A submariner, he earlier served as the Commodore Commanding Submarines (West). Naval career Dhingra graduated from the National Defence Academy (India), National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 1 January 1992. He joined the submarine arm in 1994 and is a specialist in Navigation and Direction. After his specialisation, he served as the Navigating Officer of the Vela-class submarine and the Sindhughosh-class submarine . Dhingra attended the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington Cantonment, Wellington. Submarine Base

Sainya Seva Medal
The Sainya Seva Medal is a medal of the Indian Armed Forces. The medal is awarded in recognition of non-operational service under conditions of hardship and severe climate in specified areas. History The Sainya Seva Medal was instituted on 26 January 1960 by the Government of India, with the approval of the President of India. Five other medals were instituted on the same day - the Vishisht Seva Medal series (Class I, Class II, Class III), the Videsh Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Nao Sena Medal and the Vayu Sena Medal. Operations Parakram Medal is a military award of India. It was awarded in recognition of the services of Armed Forces personnel and civilians in Operation Parakram. Samanya Seva Medal
The Samanya Seva Medal 1965 (''General Service Medal 1965'') is a military service medal of the Indian Armed Forces. Established 8 May 1975, with retroactive effect to 26 January 1965, the Samanya Seva Medal is awarded for active service where no other campaign medal is awarded. Clasps are awarded with the medal designating recognized operations. The Western Fleet is a Naval fleet of the Indian Navy. It is known as the 'Sword Arm' of the Indian Navy. It is headquartered at Mumbai, Maharashtra on the west coast of India.
