Randy Allen (American Football)
Randy Allen (born ) is an American high school football coach. He is the head football coach at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, and is the winningest active high school football coach in Texas with 446 victories through the end of the 2023 season. He is currently second in victories to retired coach Phil Danaher who has 490 wins. Playing career A native of Abilene, Texas, Allen attended 1960's football powerhouse Abilene Cooper High School. With Allen at tailback and slotback, Cooper made it to the 1967 state final against Austin Reagan at Fort Worth's Amon G. Carter Stadium, but lost 20-19 after two controversial last-second decisions by the officials. After graduating in 1968, Allen went on to play at Southern Methodist University in Dallas for coach Hayden Fry. Randy Allen (basketball)
James Randall "Randy" Allen (born January 26, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player. A forward from Florida State University, Allen was never drafted by an NBA team but did manage to play two years in the league from 1988 to 1990 with the Sacramento Kings. On October 1, 1990, Allen signed a two-year deal with the Denver Nuggets, but was released after the hiring of head coach Paul Westhead. He was then signed by the Chicago Bulls on October 7, 1993, but was placed on waivers 10 days after signing. In his NBA career, Allen played in 70 games and scored a total of 252 points. Randy has two sons, Adam Allen and Brandon Allen. Adam played basketball and baseball for the University of Florida.
