Rakkestad Idrettsforening is a Norway, Norwegian sports club from Rakkestad, Østfold. It has sections for association football, team handball, floorball, volleyball, track and field, gymnastics, skiing and speed skating. It was founded on 11 November 1914. Home field is Rakkestad Stadium, and club colors are blue and white. The men's football team currently plays in the 4. divisjon, the fifth tier of Norwegian football. Rakkestad is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Østfold Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Rakkestad. It is divided into the parishes of Rakkestad, Degernes, and Os, Østfold, Os. The municipality is the county's second largest by area and one of Norway's largest agricultural areas. Rakkestad was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Degernes was separated from Rakkestad as a municipality of its own on 1 January 1917, but it was merged back into Rakkestad on 1 January 1964. Bent André Skammelsrud (born 18 May 1966) is a Norwegian former professional footballer, most known as an important midfielder for Rosenborg BK. He has eleven consecutive championships in the Norwegian Premier League, and three times he won the Norwegian Football Cup. Biography Skammelsrud was born in Sarpsborg. He played 272 matches for Rosenborg BK in the Norwegian Premier League, scoring 57 goals. Before joining Rosenborg, he had played for Drøbak/Frogn, Frigg, and the Swedish club Malmö FF. He also played 38 matches for the Norwegian national team, scoring seven goals. He was in roster for Euro 2000. Speed Skating
Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. Types of speed skating are long-track speed skating, short-track speed skating, and marathon speed skating. In the Olympic Games, long-track speed skating is usually referred to as just "speed skating", while short-track speed skating is known as "short track".
