The Radford Highlanders men's basketball represents Radford University in NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball competition. Radford University is a public university in Radford, Virginia, United States. It is one of the state's eight doctorate-granting public universities. 2014 College Basketball Invitational
The 2014 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that did not participate in the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. The opening games were held on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19. After the quarterfinals, the bracket was reseeded. Doug Day
Doug Day, Jr. (born February 17, 1972) is an American former basketball player and current high school basketball coach. Playing career At , Day played the shooting guard position for Radford University between 1989 – 1993. He was a prolific three-point field goal shooter; at the time of his graduation, his 401 made three-pointers were the most in NCAA Division I history. Day led the nation in threes made per game as a junior when he connected for 4.03 per contest. That season, he led the Highlanders to their first Big South Conference men's basketball regular season championship; it was also the second of back-to-back 20-win seasons. In each of Day's four seasons he was named to an All-Big South team. He graduated in 1993 as the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,027 points, which through 2017–18 is still the record. Joseph Davis (15 April 190110 July 1978) was an English professional snooker and English billiards player. Steve Arnette Robinson (born October 29, 1957) is a former American college basketball coach. His last position was as assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Arizona. Robinson served as the head men's basketball coach at the University of Tulsa from 1995 to 1997 and Florida State University from 1997 to 2002. He was an assistant to Roy Williams for 26 years, including two stints at the University of Kansas (1988–1995 and 2002–2003), and at North Carolina following Williams's move from Kansas in 2003. Robinson assisted the North Carolina Tar Heels to three NCAA Division tournament titles, in 2005, 2009, and 2017. The 2022–23 Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fifth-year head coach Ron Sanchez, and played their home games at Dale F. Halton Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina as members of Conference USA. The 2023 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination, fully-bracketed men's college basketball postseason tournament featuring 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams not selected to participate in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament or the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
