Radasha Ho'ohuli
The Miss Hawaii USA competition, previously known as Miss Hawaii Universe, is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Hawaii in the Miss USA pageant. Issha Rose Mata of Hilo was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2025 on March 22, 2025 at Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. She will represent Hawaii at Miss USA 2025 History Hawaii is the most recent state to participate in Miss USA, first competing in 1962. Prior to being admitted to full statehood in 1959, it sent delegates to Miss Universe. Despite the late start, it has been one of the most successful: Hawaii's first Miss Hawaii USA, Macel Wilson, won the Miss USA title. Four Miss USA winners came from Hawaii, one of four states with four titles (only second to Texas and California). Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Miss Teen USA 1985
Miss Teen USA 1985, the 3rd Miss Teen USA pageant, was televised live from the James L. Knight International Center Arena in Miami, Florida on 22 January 1985. At the conclusion of the final competition, Kelly Hu of Hawaii was crowned by outgoing queen Cherise Haugen of Illinois. Haugen's reign had lasted only 10 months. Background Miss Teen USA 1983, the inaugural Miss Teen USA pageant, took place in Lakeland, Florida, in August 1983, while Miss Teen USA 1984 was held in Memphis, Tennessee, in April 1984. Miss USA 2023 was the 72nd Miss USA pageant, held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, on September 29, 2023. ''All times in this article are Pacific Time Zone ( UTC-7)'' Morgan Romano of North Carolina crowned Noelia Voigt of Utah as her successor at the end of the event. Savannah Mari Gankiewicz (born November 28, 1995) is an American beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2023. Gankiewicz is the fifth woman from Hawaii to become Miss USA. Gankiewic won Miss Hawaii USA 2023, and was the first runner-up at Miss USA, receiving the title after the original winner Noelia Voigt resigned in May 2024. Punahou School (known as Oahu College until 1934) is a private, co-educational, college preparatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii. More than 3,700 students attend the school from kindergarten through 12th grade. The school was established by Protestant missionaries in 1841. Miss USA 1997 was the 46th Miss USA pageant, held at Shreveport, Louisiana in January and February, 1997. Delegates arrived in the city on January 19, the preliminary competition was held on February 2, 1997 and the final competition on February 5, 1997. Brook Antoinette Mahealani Lee (born January 8, 1971) is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Hawaii USA 1997, Miss USA 1997 and Miss Universe 1997. Lee was the first native Hawaiian to win the title of Miss Universe. Early life Lee is of Chinese, Korean, Native Hawaiian, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English ancestry.
