The Quebec Cultural Heritage Directory ( French: ''Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec'') is an online cultural heritage knowledge dissemination tool for the province of Quebec. The directory is maintained by the province's Ministry of Culture and Communications. The Cultural Heritage Directory encompasses the heritage properties, items, and elements (buildings/structures (immovable objects), movable objects, people, and events) listed on the Québec Cultural Heritage Registry (), as well as detailed information about heritage aspects which have been inventoried by the Ministry of Culture and Communications or by its partner organizations. These are updated forms and roles of both the Directory (Répertoire) and the Registry (Registre) that were created under the authority of the Cultural Heritage Act (), passed into law on October 19, 2011, and that went into legal effect a year later, on October 19, 2012. Canadian French (, ) is the French language as it is spoken in Canada. It includes multiple varieties, the most prominent of which is Québécois (Quebec French). Formerly ''Canadian French'' referred solely to Quebec French and the closely related varieties of Ontario (Franco-Ontarian) and Western Canada—in contrast with Acadian French, which is spoken by Acadians in New Brunswick (including the Chiac dialect) and some areas of Nova Scotia (including the dialect St. Marys Bay French), Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador (where Newfoundland French is also spoken). The Ministry of Culture and Communications (, ) is responsible for promoting and protecting the culture in the Canadian province of Quebec. The current minister, since 2022, is Mathieu Lacombe. Maison Joseph-Gauvreau
Maison Joseph-Gauvreau is a heritage building located in Rimouski, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec. Constructed in 1906 and 1907 for Joseph Gauvreau, Dr. Joseph Gauvreau, this Eclecticism, eclectic-style bourgeois home served as his principal residence, as well as housing his medical practice and hydrotherapy clinic, whose fame spread throughout Quebec. Gauvreau was also one of the pioneers of hygiene and Preventive healthcare, preventive medicine in Quebec. The amputation of one of his arms in 1909 forced him to give up medical practice and relocate to Montreal. Between 1930 and 1947, the house was owned by Jules-André Brillant, Telus Communications, Québec-Téléphone founder, and Legislative Council of Quebec, Québec legislative councilor.
