This article lists political parties in Venezuela. Historically, Venezuela has had two major parties, along with numerous other minor parties. That system imploded at the 1998 elections into a multi-party system. In the 2005 parliamentary elections, the Fifth Republic Movement emerged as a dominant party. Its position was continued by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (into which it merged on 20 October 2007), although it is not certain at all if this party system is going to remain stable through the following elections. Venezuela (; ), officially the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ( es, link=no, República Bolivariana de Venezuela), is a country on the northern coast of South America, consisting of a continental landmass and many islands and islets in the Caribbean Sea. Authentic Renewal Organization
The Authentic Renewal Organization (ORA) is an Evangelical and Pentecostal political party in Venezuela, originally founded in 1988 by Godofredo Marín and Carlos Mendez. The ORA does not align itself with any specific political ideology, but believes itself to be a form of government under the "sacred and noble Christian principles of love, peace, faith, and hope". History In its first electoral participation, the party nominated one of its founders, Godofredo Ramón Marín, as a candidate for the general elections of 1988. Cambiemos Movimiento Ciudadano (English: ''Let's Change - Citizen's Movement'') is a Venezuelan political party with a pluralist and progressive tendency founded on 11 May 2018. This movement belongs to the opposition coalition Agreement for Change. Political philosophy On their website they describe themselves as a "progressive court" organization. Hope for Change ( es, Esperanza por el Cambio) is a Venezuelan political party registered by the Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) with the shortened name ''El Cambio''. Democratic Action (Venezuela)
Democratic Action ( es, Acción Democrática, AD) is a Venezuelan social democratic and centre-left political party established in 1941. The party played an important role in the early years of Venezuelan democracy, leading the government during Venezuela's first democratic period (1945–1948). A decade of dictatorship under Marcos Pérez Jiménez followed, which saw AD excluded from power. With the advent of democracy in 1958, four Presidents of Venezuela came from Acción Democrática from the 1950s to the 1990s during the two-party period with COPEI.
