The Pioneers of Enver ( sq, Pionierët e Enverit, literally The Pioneers of Enver Hoxha) was a pioneer movement functioning in Albania during its communist Albania, communist period. Formed as Debatik, an acronym for United Boys of Communist Ideas ( sq, Djemtë E Bashkuar Anëtarë Të Ideve Komuniste) on 10 February 1942, the movement continued as Organization of Pioneers ( sq, Organizata e Pionierëve). After the Second World War, it was supervised by the Labour Youth Union of Albania, the youth wing of the Party of Labour of Albania. Fall Of Communism In Albania
The fall of Communism in Albania, the last such event in Europe outside the Soviet Union, started in December 1990 with student demonstrations in the capital, Tirana, although protests started in January that year in other cities like Shkodra and Kavaja. The Central Committee of the communist Party of Labour of Albania allowed political pluralism on 11 December and the largest opposition party, the Democratic Party, was founded the next day. March 1991 elections left the Party of Labour in power, but a general strike and urban opposition led to the formation of a "stability government" that included non-communists. The People's Socialist Republic of Albania ( sq, Republika Popullore Socialiste e Shqipërisë, links=no) was the Marxist–Leninist one party state that existed in Albania from 1946 to 1992 (the official name of the country was the People's Republic of Albania from 1946 until 1976 and the Republic of Albania from 1991 until its dissolution in 1992). A pioneer movement is an organization for children operated by a communist party. Typically children enter into the organization in elementary school and continue until adolescence. The adolescents then typically join the Young Communist League. ''Debatik'' is a 1961 Albanian drama movie directed by Hysen Hakani. It was produced as a fictional work for the creation of the Debatik organization in Albania in 1942. Plot Three years after the Italian invasion of Albania, children create their anti-fascist organization, called Debatik ( sq, Djemtë E Bashkuar Anëtarë Të Ideve Komuniste, in English United Boys Members of Communist Ideas). ''Pionieri '' was a monthly magazine published in communist Albania, by the Pioneers of Enver organization, also called Central Committee of the Union of Albanian Working Youth. The magazine, although politicized, is remembered to have influenced scientific formation of the Albanian youth, with relevant translations from analogous foreign magazines. At age 12, Ismail Kadare wrote his first short stories, which were published in the ''Pionieri'' journal in Tirana.
